Actually,in the last Maryland Mason magazine, the GM said that every lodge should have such a committee, but didn't make it mandatory. After our installation on Jan. 26 I'm going to bring a copy of the mag. and point out the directive to the powers that be.

I spent many years in hospitals, as a tech, and as an administrator. I loved the work, but it's 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. A mistake I made is not being there on some of the odd-ball hours, ie midnight to eight or such. The psych ward takes a lot out of you, so does pediatrics. In the olden days, some (me) were generalists, so got involved in more things around about the place. These days, everyone's a specialist or a contractor (a real pain in the a--)

My lodge is sort of starting over. We're 100+ years old, with 250+ members on the books, but nearly disapeared a few years ago. About 20 members are active right now. I'm on a gadfly project to try to push the bosses into getting in touch with those who have disapeared. Begining to see some progress. Talked to two of the disapeared last night, and, as I suspected, they've been wondering why no one has contacted them. I bet there are many thousands out there who feel the same way.

A steward (not necessarilly in a Masonic sense) is a care giver and care taker. Feed the brethren with what they need.

Bro. Frey,

I had my first night as marshal tonight. Also, I looked at my psychology 1 notebook from college. By the end of each lecture, my hand writing gets worse and worse, and finally sweeps right off the page, where I went to sleep. I think my prof. was trying an experiment on all of us. See how many of us would check out each day.

Thanks for inviting me to your friends list. My wife took a look at your picture, and said,"My, is that your brother?" When she and I met, I looked a lot like your picture. Looking at mine now in that light may not thrill you
