Scottish Rite line

I was asked to join the council line in my scottish rite valley of Danville. But I was hopeing to join the rose croix line. After I join one line can I join another? Because I enjoy premorming the ritual.

what do you mean by "line"? you mean being an officer or representative or what?

in our SR, we have brothers in multiple positions (each "line" they play a different officer role) so I don't see why you couldnt.

Now, since the SR tends to operate the majority of the time on one level just like the BL, the positions tend to be honorary except in certain circumstances and as I understand it, other than the top of the line positions, the other officers (while they do move in rotation just as the BL) can be placed in designated positions based on the preferences of the VM.

So I guess the best bet is to ask your VM and go from there. In our SR it is often the Secretary that suggests to positions of new brothers, and the VM that views his choices and either accepts or makes changes.

It would depend on your by-laws. Check with the secretary.
