I am blessed in this life and love the times we are living in. I began studying masonry as one who believed they ruled the world and were evil. I read the anti-masonry books and I read the pro-masonry books. When I finally began to read more positive materials on the Freemasons, I realised there is good and bad in everyone and every organization and well, everything! Like everything else it is what you make of it. There may be some evil guys out there trying to wreak havoc, but I know they cannot stand against a brotherhood of love and light. That's the side of the street I want to be walking on and that's how I choose to see things now. I don't choose to validate evil by fearing it and worrying about it. I destroy it by remaining in a positive light. I went through a very angry phase, but came through it and now practice self-control as a mason.

Yes, I've read the Seth Material, some of Blavatsky's Isis Unveiled, Unveiled Mysteries and The Magic Presence - by Godfrey Ray King, they were great. Also lately I've read the teachings of Abraham... Read More »

My Lodge Brother Ronnie Reece took about 25 of us to Johnson City to get the degrees. It was a great time and very well done. The Asheville group is small but that's where I go for meetings, when I... Read More »

One thought a day later... in late 07, the Scottish Rite came out with a new Scottish Rite Ritual Monitor and Guide. It's a really sharp book, in fact I think its thicker than the last Harry Potter book to come out. Goes into an overview of degrees, jewels, aprons, symbols throughout masonry, history, etc. I'd say give it a couple years, but as soon as they start appearing in used bookstores, we need to nab those up and donate them to the WNC libraries including the public schools. The same goes with the john j robinson books and others.

Well, yeah, thats part of it. I'd like to make sure that our Valley (AASR) has a copy for the library. But I really like what he wrote in the last chapters of the book. Ways to cut down on NPDs, ways to promote masonry and keep brothers coming back. There's alot of good PR ideas in there. I want alot of copies so I can give them to brothers that are heads of our Speakers Bureau, Ambassador Program, etc to read. I just ordered off ebay his other two Born in Blood and Dungeon Fire and Sword. Gotta get to reading them.

Mick,

If you happen across any used copies of "A Pilgrim's Path" by John J Robinson. Let me know. I'll buy 'em from you.

Mick,

Is was good to meet ya tonight. Sorry I wasn't around to talk more. I used to complain about not getting noticed, now I am and have to deal with lodge politics. Anyhow, do come back. Hopefully we can see more brothers both here and coordinate events outside of lodge for all of us.

Whussup Mick,
It's just one of the many illustrations of my Fraternity, ALPHA PHI ALPHA. The tattoo is actually a brand burned into the flesh. The "06" represents the year it was founded, 1906. Go to aplhaphialpha.net to find out more.

Mick, in Indiana it is printed in text in our Monitor in whole. I would suggest you check with your WM or Sec'y. I wouldn't ever, ever, ever suggest that you obtain a learning aid such as Lester's Look to the East or a copy of King Solomon. Get my drift?
