Wings Up or Down?

Brethren,
I was speaking with a brother last night and the topic of the Eagles came up. According to this brother, The direction of the wings, pointing up or down, is emblematic of whether you are Northern or Southern Jurisdiction. Apparently, Southern SR has the wings pointing up, and Northern has the "traditional" Wings down stature. Is there any truth to this? I have never heard this until now, and not seen this at all in the many images I have seen.

Fraternally,
Lee

Wrong! Wings Up signifies that your Scottish Rite Valley is in the Northern Jurisdiction. Wings Down Southern Jurisdiction.
