What induced you to either become a mason in a military lodge or fellowship with one while deployed? And of course thanks for your service.

For me, it was the thing to do....My Dad was the NCOIC of the Command post and was the "9" for the base....It was expected that I was going to follow his lead. Besides Vietnam was in full swing when I graduated High School in Goose Bay Labrador. I had no college prospects having been In Canada for the preceding 4 years so I joined up. 25 years later I decided I needed to get out so the younger guys could have a go. I started in the Vietnam era and ended after Desert Shield/ Storm.....Long enough

For myself, i had already wanted to join the fraternity and was able to right before i pcsd to my first duty station.i didnt realize the meaning of brotherhood until the lodge here in ga did my courtesy work. They brought me in and made me feel like i was a long standing member of their lodge.Along with my eyeopening experince in my degree work it made me understand fellowship in the true sense of the word.i have also had the pleasure of sitting in lodge with other military brothers.Just an outstanding time, every time.
