Greetings,

I know that many brethren frown upon the idea of having masonic tattoos. Myself (personally speaking), I have no problem with it. Some brethren will say that it is a violation of the 1* OB. I disagree... I have a masonic emblem tattooed on my right arm. Although I had it put there, I did not personally put it there and the gentleman who did my masonic tat. was not a mason.

There are a lot of Masonic tattoos in my lodge, myself included. I see no harm in it. Mine is on my right lower arm and I wear it with pride.

Greetings, If I may say myself, It has been encouraged by many Masons who understand the science of Secrecy. You should already be aware that you have a brand / mark. You should know where it is. If it has been applied correctly, it may be able to be seen by anyone of the same 'cloth'. Tatoos were discouraged because it was said in your "O_T_" Do you really need a Tatoo to tell someone you are a Mason? What makes you a Mason? Lol...........My answer is NOT and conld never be a mere []3I_iCAY5i0N.................[Peace].

After a little soul searching i to have come to the conclusion that what makes me a mason is not something on the outside that the whole world can see,but what is on the inside that brothers will notice about me that matters.thanks for the reply

My dear brother, you are absolutely correct. Masonry comes from within. But, if it is all about "Secrecy" why do brethren ride around with emblems on their cars, order masonic licencse plates, wear masonic clothing (hats and polo shirts that display their lodge and the masonic emblem), rings, gold and silver pendent on their gold or silver chains, etc...?

I see nothing wrong with having pride in the organization. Displaying the emblem as a tattoo is not divulding any secrets.
