An open and continual invitation for all my brothers.

Brethren,

I would like to cordially invite you all to join me for a few brews at New York City's oldest bar, McSorley's, as per our normal Tuesday night fare.

I started this tradition as a means to bond with you my brothers and to get to know the EA's better, meet the families of our brothers and use it as a forum to get to know petitioners. Sometimes there are a lot of us and other times it is just one or two, but it is always interesting.

Upon coming into Mecca # 1 a month or two ago, I was fortunate enough to meet many great brothers who were filled with joy, humor and were amazingly welcoming. When I told Potentate Quigley and Chief Rabban Sanford Gottesman about our weekly get togethers, they jumped right in and wanted to attend. So I have extended my fraternal greetings, offered my hand in friendship and invited them all to come along. I think that this is a great way to get our faces and name out there to the rest of our great fraternity.

MECCA #1 has posted this to all of our fellow Nobles and it is sure to be an amusing time to say the least. Here is a link to our website.

We will meet tonight, Tuesday June 3rd 2008 at 7 PM (as per the norm). McSorley's is located at 15 East 7th Street, between 3rd and 2nd Avenues. Right down the block from my Alma Matter, Cooper Union. Come one, come all!

So, stop by, bring your fez and drink a beer where Abraham Lincoln had lunch with Peter Cooper after her gave his RIGHT MAKES MIGHT speech. If you don't drink, they have great liverwurst and onion sandwiches and soda. If you do imbibe then you have two choices, light or dark beer and the price is $4.50 for two mugs and surly service. There is no liquor.

Here is their website.

If you are not in New York City, but plan on visiting, there is normally some kind of Masonic gathering there. I am there every Tuesday except the third of the month as that is when my Blue Lodge meets. All brothers are welcome all the time.

Just remember what our dear brother Benjamin Franklin said.

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy" Benjamin Franklin
